Villa Royale Wedding in Palm Springs | Palm Springs Wedding Photographer
If you’re searching for Palm Springs wedding venues that feel intimate, design-forward, and full of personality, Villa Royale Palm Springs is one of the best options in the desert.
Rebecca and Casey’s wedding at Villa Royale was even nominated for Best Wedding of the Year, and it’s easy to see why. As two Hollywood actors, they approached their wedding with intention, focusing on creating an immersive experience for their guests while celebrating their love through a playful, 70s-inspired aesthetic.
A Full Wedding Weekend at Villa Royale Palm Springs
One of the biggest advantages of hosting a Villa Royale wedding is the ability to take over the entire property. Rebecca and Casey leaned fully into this, turning their wedding into a full weekend experience.
The celebrations began with a pool party the day before the wedding, where friends and family gathered, relaxed, and settled into the space together. Having the entire hotel created an atmosphere that felt private, connected, and completely their own.
To say Rebecca embraced the weekend would be an understatement. After a lively pool party and rehearsal dinner, the next morning called for a little recovery, but nothing was going to take away from the energy of the day.

The day before the wedding they threw a pool party with all their friends and family. By renting out the Villa Royale Palm Springs they were able to enjoy the whole property to themselves.

To say Rebecca had fun at her pool party and rehearsal dinner would be an understatement. The next morning a IV was needed, but she didn’t let that stop her from enjoying the morning of her wedding.

Rebecca decided to get ready by herself and take the morning to soak everything in.

The getting ready experience at Villa Royale is part of what makes it such a standout among Palm Springs wedding venues. The rooms are thoughtfully designed, full of character, and provide the perfect backdrop to start the day.
Rebecca spent the morning leaning into her personality, playful, vibrant, and completely herself, before stepping into her Viktor & Rolf wedding dress. The transition from relaxed morning to elevated bridal look felt seamless and true to her.

As Rebecca walked to the first look location, Casey got ready in one of the iconic rooms of the Villa Royale Palm Springs.

Rebecca and Casey’s first look was emotional and raw and you could see the genuine love they have for one another.

I may be known for posing, but when I am able to capture those real raw moments it means everything.

After the first look these two freshened up and got ready for some portraits.

As Casey and Rebecca walked back to hide away before the ceremony, Rebecca’s family saw her for the first time and she shared a special moment with her mom.

The Villa Royale Palm Springs has a huge lawn where the possibilities are endless when it comes to planning your ceremony space. It was important to Rebecca and Casey that each guest was able to witness the ceremony no matter where they were seated. So Details, Darling created a circle allowing the ceremony to feel more intimate for each guest. Moonlight Florals also continued the circle by creating a moon shaped ground floral piece where they would stand.

As Rebecca walked down to Casey she began to tear up, knowing that in this moment she would finally become his wife.

The Villa Royale Palm Springs bartenders served martinis and old fashioneds as the speciality drinks. And what’s more 70s than a martini.

Being from Hollywood all of their guests were dressed to the nines and some of them even carried the retro vibe Rebecca and Casey were wanting into their outfits.

Because of their love for the 70s, Details, Darling went above and beyond to bring their vision to life. They created a vintage living room set complete with Life magazines. It even doubled as a photobooth during the reception. It also paid homage to their acting background because it felt like they were on set and transformed back to the 7os.

When creating the reception space these two wanted it to feel like you were sitting down for a steakhouse dinner. Details, Darling did this by bringing in elements, such as lamps, to make it feel like an intimate setting.

Hostess Haven provided the tabletop to help complete the vintage steakhouse look.

Details, Darling revealed the reception and Casey and Rebecca were floored. They couldn’t believe that their vision came to life and it was everything they wanted and more.

Wildhouse Ink put their creative spin on an interactive seating chart and it was like nothing we have seen before.

Before reception started we snuck out to grab a few sunset portraits in the street. We grabbed a bell hop cart and ran around Palm Springs.

And then the party started!

Exquisite Cakes created a beautiful three tiered cake with florals all around.

Right before cake cutting Rebecca changed into a mini dress because she was ready to party.

After the cake cutting these two hit the dance floor and partied all night long with their friends!

Why Couples Love Villa Royale Palm Springs
As a Palm Springs wedding photographer, Villa Royale is one of my favorite venues for a few key reasons:
1. A spacious lawn surrounded by palm trees
The open lawn creates room for ceremony, cocktails, and movement, while still feeling intimate. It’s ideal for couples who want their wedding to feel relaxed but intentional.
2. A true boutique hotel experience
With the ability to rent out the property, couples can create a full wedding weekend that feels private and immersive for their guests.
3. Thoughtfully designed guest rooms
Every space at Villa Royale is visually interesting and well-designed, which elevates both the experience and the photography.
4. Built-in activities for guests
From bike rentals to poolside lounging, guests have plenty to enjoy throughout the weekend, making it more than just a single-day event.
A Palm Springs Wedding That Felt Like an Experience
Rebecca and Casey’s wedding was more than just a ceremony, it was an experience. From the retro-inspired design to the full weekend of events, everything was created with intention.
