The Ace Hotel & Swim Club in Palm Springs was an absolute dream. Since I became a Destination Wedding Photographer i’ve always wanted to shoot here. Not only did I get to shoot at the venue of my dreams but I also was lucky enough to work with Brenna & Toby. Last year we were frolicking around Mount Rainier for their engagement session which was quite the contrast to their wedding in the desert. It was 120 degrees and fiery with emotion. The bride and groom have been dating since high school so you can imagine how easily it was to capture the raw emotion.
Tell us about your wedding venue! The Ace Hotel in Palm Springs was an old motel that was converted into a fun, lively space. Our venue combined an outdoor lawn and pool space with a glass enclosed dining room.
What would you have done differently? Cared less about the little things that end up being a blip in the scheme of the day. But once the day was there, we both really took advantage of enjoying the experience and not worrying about the what if’s.
