Lauren & Justin are that couple that always have something going on. They have many friends and are friends to many. Trust me when I tell you that they are never short of having a fun time. Years ago I met Justin in class, we bonded over the fact that we had both moved from Tampa to San Diego. Justin talked about Lauren often but I had yet to meet her. Shortly after Justin proposed to Lauren we chatted about doing their engagement session in Mexico. Sharing a villa in Las Gaviotos confirmed that the four of us would double date often and share milestone memories together through life. Lauren and Justin are the perfect male and female counter parts. Justin does something spontaneously without thoroughly thinking it through (men) and Lauren gracefully helps him out of the situation he got himself into (women). Haha. Just kidding-ish! They really do balance each other out and it’s so refreshing to see such fluidity in their relationship. They show each other affection and they laugh like they just started dating.
The Vinoy is a tropical, historical (built in 1925), glamorous, Mediterranean-revival style hotel in downtown St Petersburg. It was an obvious choice for their wedding venue. They had their ceremony outside in the secluded tea garden area where guests were surrounded by lush green landscaping. The invites and all design work was done by Justin! Brownie points for grooms that get their hands in on the wedding planning! The best part was their puppy Martian being a surprise wedding gift and Justin’s reaction when he saw Lauren during first looks.
