Antigua Guatemala Wedding
Shooting Chelsie and Timmy’s destination wedding in Antigua Guatemala was a dream. I had so much fomo that I couldn’t shoot my own wedding (LOL). It felt like a true blessing to be given the opportunity to go back to Antigua not as the bride but as the photographer!
I feel the most creative when I’m in Guatemala. I’m not sure what it is but I feel like I belong there! If you are even considering planning your wedding in Antigua please don’t hesitate.
Chelsie and Timmy opted for less traditional styling and their wedding was one big party! Chelsie wasn’t scared of color which really brought out the destination wedding vibes. With the help of Saguzo Eventos Chelsie and Timmy had over 100 guests attend their wedding at Pensativo House Hotel & San Jose El Viejo.

I asked the couple -what was your vision for your wedding?
We thought a wedding in an authentic city like Antigua would inspire + excite our friends and family to get out of their comfort zone and get to a place they probably would never go. Many of our guests had never left the US! Since it was a destination, most of our guests flew down early and stayed lated. That meant we had multiple days with all of our friends and family to explore the city, hike volcanoes, and take salsa dancing lessons.
San Jose Viejo had this gigantic and grand door—just really solid and profound. They closed it before Chelsie and her Dad entered the church. When that door slowly slung open and Chelsie appeared, it was the woman of my dreams appearing in a fairy tale. – Timmy
